President's Report

Ohio CCIM Chapter,

As we begin 2026, I want to thank each of you for your continued engagement and commitment to the Ohio CCIM Chapter. The first quarter is always a time of renewed energy, goal setting, and opportunity—and this year is no exception.

Our chapter enters 2026 focused on education, connection, and value. The CCIM designation continues to represent the highest standard in commercial real estate, and to support our members through meaningful programming, strong networking opportunities, and leadership development across the state of Ohio.

This quarter, we are excited to offer a variety of educational events and networking programs designed to help you navigate evolving market conditions, strengthen your professional skill set, and build lasting relationships. Whether you are a longtime Designee, a Candidate, or new to the CCIM community, we encourage you to get involved and take full advantage of what the chapter offers.

I would also like to recognize our chapter sponsors, board members, and volunteers. Their time, dedication, and support make it possible for us to deliver high-quality programs and maintain a strong presence across Ohio. If you’re looking for ways to become more involved this year, we welcome your participation—committee involvement is a great way to connect and give back.

As the commercial real estate landscape continues to evolve, CCIM professionals are uniquely positioned to lead with knowledge, integrity, and confidence. Together, we will continue to strengthen our chapter and elevate the CCIM brand throughout Ohio.

I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event and working alongside you in 2026.

Wishing you a successful and productive first quarter.

Warm regards,
Zamaris Garcia, CCIM
2026 CCIM Ohio Chapter President

Education Corner

Achieving the CCIM designation is a long journey. To make the trip a bit easier, we are excited to announce the Ohio CCIM passport! Here is how it works. There are four core designation courses required to sit for the comprehensive exam. Ohio plans to offer each of these classes at least once over the next two years. For every class that you take in Ohio, we will stamp your passport. And when it comes time to take the comprehensive exam, the Ohio CCIM chapter will rebate you $50 per stamp on the cost the CCR prep class or the registration fee for the comprehensive exam. But wait - there’s more! If you receive all four stamps as a result of taking all of your core courses in Ohio, we’ll throw in a complimentary one-year membership to the Ohio CCIM chapter! Registration is already available for CI-102 in June ‘26 and CI-103 in November ‘26. CI-101 and CI-104 will be scheduled very soon for ‘27. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to pack your bags and achieve the CCIM designation!
